In celebration of Vietnamese Teacher's Day on November 20th and to contribute to spreading the noble values of gratitude culture in the educational environment, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education organized the 2025 Vietnamese Calligraphy Writing Contest with the theme “Nhân Giáo Dưỡng.” This is a meaningful activity designed to encourage students to explore, preserve, and promote the traditional beauty of Vietnamese calligraphy – an art form that embodies elegance, sophistication, and the cultural depth of the nation. The contest attracted a large number of students from various universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City, creating a space for exchange, creativity, and expressing sincere gratitude toward generations of educators. The contest drew nearly 200 contestants from many universities and colleges across the city, providing a rich platform for interaction and creativity with impressive and unique works.
In this vibrant atmosphere, the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Van Hien University takes pride in the participation of student Vi Van Anh (majoring in Chinese Language). With a passion for calligraphy art and a proactive spirit to challenge himself, Vi Van Anh meticulously prepared and demonstrated his ability to appreciate language and art from the preliminary round onwards. His entry, carefully crafted in both content and form, stood out among many high-quality works and made it into the Top 37 outstanding contestants, advancing to the Final Round held on November 16, 2025, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.
At the Final Round, Vi Van Anh continued to demonstrate his creative talent, refined appreciation for art, and strong calligraphy skills, ultimately winning the First Prize, the highest award of this year’s contest. This achievement is not only a source of pride for Vi Van Anh but also an encouraging milestone for students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages. It clearly reflects the progressive spirit, creativity, and determination of Van Hien students as they participate in regional academic competitions. Furthermore, this result also reflects the efforts of the Faculty of Foreign Languages in creating a dynamic learning environment that encourages students to explore themselves and unleash their potential through hands-on experiential activities.
The Faculty of Foreign Languages congratulates student Vi Van Anh on this commendable achievement and acknowledges the effort and dedication he has put into the competition. We hope that this will serve as a source of motivation for him to continue achieving greater success in his studies and extracurricular activities.
