Volunteer Spring is an activity held annually ahead of the Lunar New Year by Van Hien University students, particularly those from the Faculty of Foreign Languages. Under the slogan “Volunteering for the Community,” this year’s campaign continues to promote the spirit of sharing, social responsibility and the tradition of compassion among students. On the morning of February 1, 2026, shortly before returning home to celebrate the Lunar New Year with their families, students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, in collaboration with the English Club, visited the Dieu Phap Social Protection Center in Binh Loi, Ward 13, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. During the visit, students presented gifts to elderly residents living alone without family support. The group also helped to clean the center so they could have a cleaner and warmer Tet holiday.

Throughout the day, the students not only helped clean and tidy the shared areas of the center and the temple grounds, but also spent time talking with the elderly, listening to their touching life stories. The gentle smiles, kind eyes and sincere words of gratitude from the people there created unforgettable memories for every student who participated in the campaign.

This trip not only provides material support but also offers students the opportunity to experience and learn valuable humanitarian lessons. It encouraged students to appreciate their current lives and nurture their sense of community. This meaningful journey also helped students develop their teamwork skills, responsibility and compassion, which are invaluable qualities for their academic and personal development

Although the Volunteer Spring Day has come to an end, the beautiful memories, sincere emotions and meaningful lessons from the trip will surely remain in the minds of each participant. We hope that the spirit of Volunteer Spring 2026 will continue to spread, inspiring students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages in particular, and students of Van Hien University in general, to keep contributing to the community and living more positively every day.
