Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Van Hien University have continued to make a positive mark in national academic competitions. At the Expanded Chinese Language Olympic Competition held on December 12, 2025, Nguyen Thi Thu Thao, a Chinese Language major student and a member of the Chinese Language Club, placed in the Top 8 and received a Consolation Prize. The Expanded Chinese Language Olympic Competition is a prestigious academic forum that attracts students from universities and colleges nationwide. It not only assesses participants’ proficiency in Chinese but also evaluates their critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, public speaking skills, and confidence in a highly competitive academic environment.
Beginning with a field of more than 300 contestants in the preliminary round, Nguyen Thi Thu Thao consistently demonstrated her academic competence by advancing through each stage of the competition, earning a place in the Top 16 and ultimately securing a position among the Top 8 finalists. Throughout the speech, comprehensive knowledge, and debate rounds, she demonstrated a strong academic spirit, confident demeanor, and flexible command of the Chinese language, leaving a strong impression on the judging panel. This achievement is a well-earned result of Nguyen Thi Thu Thao’s sustained academic efforts, unwavering dedication, and strong passion for the Chinese language.
