In the morning of October 30, 2023, at the Tran Hung Dao Hall—HungHau Campus, Van Hien University solemnly held the Opening Ceremony for the 2023-2024 academic year. The ceremony marked an exciting and successful start to the school year with the participation of distinguished guests from various Ministries, Departments, unions, esteemed businesses, and media agencies. Other distinguished participants at the event are Faculty board, lecturers, and new students from the Foreign Languages Department.

Also at the Opening Ceremony, Van Hien University was honored to receive a "Certificate of Merit from the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for excellently fulfilling the academic tasks of the 2022 – 2023 school year, contributing positively to the city’s competitive movement". This also serves as motivation for both teachers and students to continue striving to achieve upcoming goals. Additionally, representatives of the school received several scholarships awarded by esteemed businesses and the HungHau Heart Fund.

Equally vibrant and exciting events followed the Opening Ceremony - the Student Festival, and the Gala Night "Return - myU24," held at Phu Tho Stadium. The event was warmly welcomed by many Van Hien University students, featuring over 50 booths from various Departments, Clubs, and Businesses, together with booths from The Foreign Languages Department: English Club, Chinese Club, and Calligraphy Club. Students from the Foreign Languages Department had the opportunity to acquire new lanyard designs launched for the first time at the Festival. They enjoyed visiting and having fun at the various booths.

One of the highlights of the events welcoming the new academic year 2023-2024 was the Gala Night "Return—myU24," which was live-streamed directly on Van Hien University's official fan page.

With the participation of over 15,000 students, this is also considered one of the most anticipated programs. The success of the Gala Night was not only due to the presence of famous guest artists such as singer Luong Bich Huu, singer Grey D, rapper Karik, etc., but also due to the unique performances and the debut from the faculty and students of various departments in general, and particularly the teachers and students of the Foreign Languages Department.
