In the morning of December 3rd, Van Hien University held the sixteenth annual "Red Sunday" event in 2024, themed "Blood Donation Saves Lives—Yours and Mine." Nearly 3,000 staff, faculty members, and students at HungHau Campus participated in blood donation and supported the program. The faculty and Foreign Languages Department students enthusiastically participated in spreading this meaningful activity.
Van Hien University was immensely honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the 175 Military Hospital, and a commemorative medal from Tien Phong Newspaper for their positive contributions to organizing the "Red Sunday" program over the years. This year's Red Sunday program has also been successful in raising 600 million VND for the "Steps to School" scholarship fund. At the event, the Hung Hau Heart Fund awarded 100 million VND, equivalent to 10 scholarships, to outstanding students of Van Hien University who have shown excellent academic results and continuous efforts in overcoming challenges in their studies and lives.

In addition to the blood donation activity, the students also participated in a music festival, fundraising shopping, and meet-and-greet events with special guests, including Miss Vietnam 2022 - Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy, First Runner-up of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 - Bui Khanh Linh, MC - singer Hoang Oanh, and young singer Ngo Lan Huong.
