The "Xuân tình nguyện" (Spring Volunteer Program) is an annual event held each spring by the students of Van Hien University, particularly those from the Faculty of Foreign Languages. This meaningful program is dedicated to bringing love and joy to the children at Hoa Hong Orphanage, located at 386 TL8 - 3A, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City.
Joyful moments of the children at Hoa Hong Orphanage.
In the early morning of January 20, 2024, a group of students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages set out with enthusiasm, bringing gifts filled with love and compassion for the orphans at Hoa Hong Orphanage. They were accompanied by Ms. Do Thi Bich Thuy, an English Language lecturer and student activities coordinator.

The program was thoughtfully created to foster a welcoming atmosphere where the students and orphans could form genuine connections. It also served as a catalyst for the students to embrace and uphold the values of our unique cultural traditions. Thanks to the concerted efforts of various individuals and groups within the Faculty, all the activities were able to run smoothly and ended successfully.
VHUers organizing activities for the children
During their visit to the orphanage, the students were deeply moved as they listened to the stories and personal experiences of the orphans, which helped them gain a better understanding of the challenges these children face. This touching experience not only taught them about the values of gratitude and communal responsibility, it also underscored the purpose of volunteer work and deepened their feelings of compassion, love, and empathy towards those less fortunate. Witnessing the joy of the children and the compassionate support of the caregivers at Hoa Hong Orphanage, the students have been further motivated to continue their dedicated efforts in their volunteer activities.

The "Spring Volunteer 2024" event, organized by the VHU’s students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, has wrapped up, yet the deep impressions and emotions from the trip still resonates with everyone involved.
It’s our hope that these students will continue to carry forward the spirit of volunteering, living true to the saying, "Sống trong đời sống cần có một tấm lòng" (To live is to have a compassionate heart).
We send our wishes for good health, happiness, and success to all of you!
