On January 25th, 2026, the English Club of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Van Hien University, held its first gathering of the new year in a vibrant, warm and energetic atmosphere. With the theme of Lunar New Year (Tet), the program not only welcomed the beginning of 2026 but also created an opportunity for students to connect, learn and develop both academic and soft skills. The program began with a warm-up activity featuring a Tet-themed quiz game, which attracted enthusiastic participation from students. Familiar questions about Tet’s customs, traditions and cultural values contributed to a lively atmosphere, helping club members quickly engage and connect with each other.

In the next part of the program, students had a chance to broaden their vocabulary related to Tet as well as practice New Year greetings in common situations. This activity not only helped to reinforce their knowledge but also supported students in gaining greater confidence in using English in real-life communication.

One of the highlights of the gathering was a debate session between two teams on topics related to the Lunar New Year. The debate was dynamic and engaging, yet respectful and open-minded, showcasing the club members’ critical thinking skills, teamwork and their ability to express their viewpoints clearly. In addition, the presentations by the representatives of each group left a strong impression. Well-prepared content, clear delivery and confident manners demonstrated the students' significant progress in their studies and their participation in club activities.
