On July 31, 2024, the Faculty of Foreign Languages successfully organized an academic seminar for the lecturers of the faculty at HungHau Campus. The seminar aimed to enhance teaching quality and research capability for the lecturers of the Foreign Languages Faculty.
The speaker of the program was Associate Professor Dr. Phan Van Hoa, former Rector of the University of Foreign Language , University of Da Nang. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoa is also a senior lecturer, a Distinguished Teacher of Vietnam, and a recipient of the Second-Class Labor Medal. Additionally, he is the Chairman of the Da Nang Linguistics Association, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Linguistics Association, and Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association for Research and Teaching English (VietTESOL).
During the seminar, lecturers had the opportunity to hear Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Van Hoa’s passionate insights on new developments in scientific research and the importance of research in the field of teaching. Furthermore, the lecturers engaged in discussions on professional topics, including “the relationship between language and culture,” “issues in translation,” “new language, literature, and foreign culture programs,” “linguistic research methods,” and “applying linguistic theories in language education.” The academic seminar provided the lecturers with enhanced professional knowledge and new perspectives on scientific research, especially in the field of linguistics.
