In the context of deep international integration, strengthening academic cooperation and exchange among universities in Asia plays an increasingly important role. The Faculty of Foreign Languages – Van Hien University always focuses on developing students' learning competence, language skills, and global cultural mindset, aiming to help them confidently step into the international environment.
In recent years, students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, especially those majoring in Chinese Language, have continuously affirmed their capability and confidence through various academic activities, cultural exchanges, and international competitions. Their recent outstanding achievements at the Classical Chinese Literature and Poetry competitions organized by Guangxi Minzu University (China) are clear evidence of these efforts.
On October 25, 2025, Guangxi Minzu University solemnly organized the 4th "Classical Chinese Literature and Poetry" Competition under the theme: "Cherishing the Beauty of Poetry, Inheriting Eternal Civilization." The competition serves as a prestigious academic playground for international students, aiming to honor traditional cultural values and encourage a love for classical literature and poetry. The event gathered over 50 international contestants from 14 universities in Guangxi province, including students from various countries such as Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, and other African counterparts.
In an atmosphere that was both vibrant and highly academic, contestants had to go through two rounds: the individual round and the team round. The contests required language proficiency, cultural understanding, along with critical thinking and artistic creativity. VHU students demonstrated superior competence, not only mastering their knowledge of Chinese literature but also conveying the emotions and spirit of ancient poems.
