Van Hien University's VHU RUN 2026 – Sync for Change brought together around 1,000 students, alumni, lecturers and staff on 27 September. Among those taking part were lecturers and students from the Faculty of Languages and International Cultures. The run was one of the activities organised ahead of the University's 30th anniversary on 11 July 2027.
The event included a 5 km run for men and a 2.5 km run for women, giving students, alumni and staff a chance to take a break from their usual routines, get some exercise and spend time together. With “Sync for Change” as its theme, the run also encouraged a healthy, active lifestyle and closer connections across the University, while highlighting the importance of giving back to the wider community. The run also supported the Hung Hau Heart Fund, which helps people facing financial hardship, with the University pledging VND 100,000 for every participant who crossed the finish line. With 1,000 people registered for the event, the University reported a total contribution of VND 100 million to the foundation.
Beyond the race itself, VHU RUN 2026 gave people from across the University a chance to spend time together and support a good cause. The event was also part of the lead-up to the University's 30th anniversary in July 2027, with its fundraising initiative reflecting the spirit of the University's motto, “Character Before Success". The Faculty of Languages and International Cultures also showed its support for VHU RUN 2026, with lecturers and students joining runners from across the University. Their participation not only added to the lively atmosphere on the day but also gave the Faculty an opportunity to give back to the community. A few highlights from VHU RUN 2026:
